Statement by the Library Director about the Annual Vote:

As we said in our Report To The Community, (posted link to the Left) this year we do not need to increase taxes for the 2018  budget.

There will be no tax increase, and, therefore, no need for a budget vote, in compliance with state law, since we are continuing with a repeat of last year's funding level.

Your library tax will not increase. The trustees determined this at the August Trustees' meeting and voted for no increase in the budget in September.

This is an election for one trustee position on September 28th from 12 noon to 9pm.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM SENATOR LARKIN:

Dear Friend,

The recent Equifax data breach reportedly exposed the sensitive personal and financial information of 143 million Americans and over 8 million New Yorkers.

According to Equifax, one of the nation’s three major credit reporting agencies, the hackers accessed people’s names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and, in some instances, driver’s license numbers and credit card numbers.

While this data breach is being investigated by state and federal authorities, I encourage you to visit the Federal Trade Commission’s website to see which steps you can take to protect your information from being misused.

If you find this information helpful, please pass it along to any friends and family members who may not be on my e-mail list.

Sincerely,

Senator Bill Larkin
