Services

Wherever you are from, we will happily let you use our library.

This section refers to information about our legal service area.

The Library district service area consists of most of the Town of Plattekill– except for some of the Clintondale area and the eastern most portion of Plattekill which are in the respective jurisdictions of the Highland and Marlboro Libraries (this is due to the school district boundaries for those school district funded public libraries). If you live in this portion of the Town of Plattekill, you are eligible to be elected to the Board of Trustees.

Plattekill is a part of the Mid Hudson Library System, which requires cooperation between libraries including honoring district boundaries. We will happily let residents of the Wallkill School District and the Town of Gardiner use our library and get a Library Card, but it will be restricted to use only at the Plattekill Public Library.
